About Us

From the Beginning…

In 1969 Boston & Maine Railroad announced plans to abandon a 2.1 mile section of rail bed running between New Boston and Goffstown, NH. The very real possibility that this large stretch of unspoiled land could be sold to a developer prompted residents of 7 area communities to take action. Together they founded the Piscataquog Watershed Association and succeeded in protecting 82.5 scenic and unspoiled acres.

Today, as then, PLC is guided by one simple goal: To conserve the natural and scenic resources of Piscataquog Region Communities.

Members & Friends

Well over 500 members and friends support PLC’s work through their annual gifts, memberships, special contributions and volunteerism.  Big or small; time, talent or treasure – every contribution made helps to protect our watershed! > Contribute!

Board, Staff & Volunteers

A Board of Directors oversees the work of PLC, along with a small staff. More than 150 volunteers contribute their time and talent annually – it just couldn’t be done without them!
