Preserving the Grant Family Farm Conservation Area

The Piscataquog Land Conservancy has partnered with residents in the Mt. Dearborn Rd. neighborhood of Weare to create a vision of conservation lands stretching from the summit of Mt. Dearborn to the Perkins Pond Wildlife Management Area. This long-term initiative began with the Walker Conservation Easement in 2003, and continues today with the protection of the Grant Family Farm Conservation Area.

Through their efforts, 85-acres will be permanently preserved, including numerous sugar maples, an open field, healthy forest areas and a diversity of habitat supporting deer, moose, snowshoe hare, ruffed grouse, porcupine and various bird species. And the scenic views and natural beauty of the area will be protected for enjoyment of generations to come! To learn more contact Paula at 603-487-3331 or plc@plcnh.org.
